MU....LOST CIVILIZATION?

The first time I became aware of Mu was via one of the Edgar Cayce Readings where he discussed Atlantis and Mu. Cayce referenced it, Lemuria.

In the summer of 1967 I was down the shore (the Jersey shore) and ran out of reading material. There was a small book shop on the boardwalk where I stumbled on Colonel James Churchward’s,(1851-1936) “The Lost Civilization Of Mu.” I finished reading it by the end of the afternoon while lying on the beach. The book was so intriguing that I forgot to reverse position and as a result sported a blistering sunburn on my back and legs when I finally remembered to turn over.

Ultimately, I read the series, The Lost Continent of Mu Motherland of Man ,The Children of Mu, The Lost Continent of Mu, The Sacred Symbols of Mu,Cosmic Forces of Mu, Second Book of Cosmic Forces of Mu.

According to Churchward, the continent of Mu preceded our present day by some 250,000 years. Much of it was a beautiful tropical country with lush valleys and plains intersected by wide running streams, rivers, and lakes. The flowers were fragrant, colorful and huge.

Mu’s citizens were tall and stately in stature, faces had pleasing features, primarily it was a civilization of red-haired people, some leaning toward blonde.

She went down overnight in the Pacific somewhere off the present coastline of California. Mu stretched from north of Hawaii down toward the south extending in a line between the Fiji’s and Easter Island forming the southern boundary, it extended 5000 miles from east to west, 3000 miles north to south. The vast emptiness we see today in the middle of Pacific, dotted by the groups of islands is the final resting place of this once glorious, advanced civilization of Mu. She sunk some 12,000 years ago. Notably Easter Island still shows fragments of old stone remains that once were a part of this civilization.

There are several schools of thought about these ancient civilizations. Some believe our current time is the ultimate despite the fact that our historical reference point is some five-thousand years ago. I have always believed otherwise.

In short, we are taught that this particular planet for millions and millions of years had absolutely no life forms. Eventually some sort of human form appeared which for the most part became known to us as Caveman. Different species of course, but more popularly known as Caveman. Eventually we became more advanced into the beings that populate the planet at the present time. Prior to, we were brain dead, barely able to do more than grunt, somehow stumbled onto fire and instead of eating raw meat, learned to barbeque. I just do not believe that our current time is the top of the heap.

Countless, highly advanced races could have preceded both Mu and Atlantis and vanished without a trace.

We may be the result of some type of nuclear war or even a natural disaster resulting in the almost annihilation of the human race. That race of people could very well be, the remnants of Mu. Nothing was left. Stories of the old days ensued and passed on from generation to generation. After the first hundred years, it would seem to be some sort of a fairytale. Most consider Plato’s Atlantis to be just such a tale.

Our civilization at this current time is quite advanced and it took thousands of years to get here but not hundreds of thousands.

There is still a glitch however. Where did all the different facial features come from? Why are both skin color and facial features different? Languages?

Churchward does explain there were black, red, yellow and white races on Mu. But, where did they come from?

Those symbols Churchward interpreted, which as I recall came from Niven’s Tablets discovered in Mexico...are they similar to the ones found at the Roswell crash site? The first symbol he deciphered was, space. Are we remnants of the crash of a super ship that landed here millions of years ago? Perhaps there were several species in that ship or were they at war with other species?

These remain questions that can never be answered until some way, somehow, we construct a time machine whereby we finally know the truth. Until then we do not have a clue as to what we are and why we are. Perhaps we are just a speck in this gigantic never ending universe...possibly more minute than we believe.
