HOW WILL SATURN IN VIRGO TRANSIT AFFECT YOU?

The Leo's and those with Leo Rising or Planets in Leo and likewise Taurus & Scorpio's (Square Aspect) and Aquarians (Opposition Aspect) will gradually breathe a sigh of relief as Saturn begins its' Transit through Virgo on September 3, 2007 at 00 Virgo 07 minutes where it will remain until October 30, 2009.

It takes Saturn thirty years to return to a point of origin. This time it is in Virgo where it last rested between, November 17, 1977 through October 27, 1980. Those of you who are old enough to remember those years can think back and recall some of the delays, disappointments, cancellations, emotional endings, and extra responsibility (that most likely was not yours in the first place) ensued. This was especially so for those who had their Saturn Return or the Virgo Ascendant people even those with Moon in Virgo.

Saturn Transiting Virgo will also have its impact on the Gemini’s, Sagitarians, and Pisces. As to how any of the Saturn Transits personally affect us, we look to the House that Saturn will occupy and the Aspects it makes to our Natal Planets and the Ascendant.

Of particular importance is the 7th House since it can create stress on a marriage/partnership and sometimes bring you responsibility for your partner. It also tests the relationship. The Rule with Saturn through the 7th is, if the relationship is strong then it will continue. If weak, there is a good possibility it will end. Couples who plan to marry with Saturn transiting the 7th House in either person’s Chart may want to postpone the date.

Insofar as the Nation is concerned, there are several opposing schools of thought as to the Rising Sign of the United States. I am among those who feel the U.S.A. has Gemini Rising which makes Virgo the Ruler of the 5th House. (The Gemini Rising Chart has Intercepts therefore, Virgo Rules 5th.) The cusp of the 4th House is, 13 degrees Leo 36 minutes. Saturn began wobbling there in July 2006. The 4th House Rules the Home, Home Base, the End of The Matter. It is the Natural House of Cancer. When we look to the 4th, we think of real estate and without having any knowledge of Astrology one can easily see the effects of Saturn in the real estate market.

Now this does not mean that magically real estate is going to be on an upward swing just because Saturn is ending its Leo Transit. Although it leaves that Sign, Saturn will not move into the 5th House until September 5, 2008 where it will remain until October 30, 2009. Oddly, this coincides with a comment made by one of my loyal clients in the mortgage business. She said, residential mortgages will not be so strong until late 2009.

Those of you in your late 20s will be having your first Saturn Return at this time. This is the point of maturity where we are both tested and strengthened by the taskmaster Saturn. Others, will have Saturn touching their natal Sun. Likewise for Virgo Moon people not forgetting all the other planets.

For instance, suppose you have Saturn touch your Natal Venus.. This is the planet of love and relationships. For you, the romance may end or be tested so badly that you may welcome the ending. Hard to believe? It is...but that ole devil Saturn can really stretch our limits.

To think in terms of how Saturn Transits affects each of us, keep in mind that it all depends on which House Saturn will Transit in your own Natal Chart not forgetting the Aspects it makes to the Planets then you will understand why you are having difficulty in certain area’s of your life or stressful situations. Each of the 12 Houses Rules a different area in a persons’ life. In brevity as follows:

1st House is self. It is you alone facing the world and how you appear to the outer world.

2nd House is finances, values and earning capacity.

3rd House is immediate environment, brothers, sisters, cousins, neighbors, teachers, writing and short trips.

4th House is the home, the base of operations and the end of the matter.

5th House is speculation, romance and children.

6th House is work and health.

7th House, marriage, partnerships, anything on a 50-50 basis.

8th House, death, sex, regeneration and what you get back from the 7th .

9th House is higher education, courts of law, religion, philosophy and publishing.

10th House is career, those who have authority over you such as bosses and how you establish yourself within the community.

11th House is friends, dreams/wishes.

12th House is self communion, it is anything behind the scenes, the sub-conscious mind and all that is hidden. It governs hospitals and institutions.

Wherever Saturn may be making its Transit in your Chart, think in terms of the House it transits as to where you will face difficulties and possible endings. Remember, Saturn brings delays, disappointments, cancellations, things being put on the back burner, extra responsibility sometimes, not yours in the first place and endings.

Although we are told that tests strengthen us and, the rule in Astrology is those who make it through a Saturn Return or a negative Transit are stronger once it has ended. I think we all have the urge to say, BIG DEAL! particularly if we are enduring a rough Transit.

These are the Transits where people decide they have been cursed in life but they are not...just tested.

Wishing you the best as Saturn begins its entry into Virgo. Be certain to ask me to set up your Natal Chart when you call me to see how the coming Transit will affect your life. Being forewarned is being forearmed. :)

Best Always,
